Enjoy the Outdoors While Protecting Your Family from Insects and Disease
(ARA) - According to the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there were 4,180 reported cases of West Nile Virus in the United States, with 149 being fatal in 2006. Because of the increased concern about disease spread by flying insects, it is important to find a way to protect yourself and your family.
Being aware of insect breeding grounds, wearing repellent and making sure your windows’ screens are intact are all important things to protect yourself. You need to break the breeding cycle of flying insects today and one product is an effective non-chemical option safe for the environment. The Dynatrap Insect Eliminator is economical, easy to install and attracts and traps flying insects for an area up to half an acre. Not only will it capture disease carrying insects like mosquitoes, but also other pesky bugs like flies, moths, wasps and yellow jackets.
A study conducted at the University of Wisconsin in Madison by Susan Paskewitz, Ph.D., professor in the department of entomology found the Dynatrap worked. Paskewitz says, "The Dynatrap was successful in catching insects in large numbers. The trap baskets contained midges and mosquitoes, which are often pests around homes near wetland, lake and pond areas. We found several different types of mosquito, including the major nuisance species as well as the species that are vectors of West Nile virus. The trap was easy to set up and use."
The Dynatrap design works because of its three-step process. First, two UV fluorescent bulbs produce warm light to attract bugs. Next, the warmth of the light works with the TiO2-titanium dioxide coated funnel which generates a catalytic reaction to produce CO2, mimicking human breath and attracting insects without the use of propane. Finally, once the insects are lured into the system, a whisper-quiet fan works as a vacuum to collect and trap the insects into a retaining cage where they eventually perish. And because many desired insects, such as honey bees, are not attracted to CO2, the Dynatrap system really focuses on those that are most bothersome and dangerous.
This system is superior to other insect eliminating systems for several reasons. Unlike the common electric systems that zap and literally electrocute insects, the Dynatrap is very quiet and can barely be noticed as it works to protect indoor and outdoor environments. Furthermore, by electrocuting insects, you literally make their bodies explode, actually spreading their bacteria in the air. Other systems use chemicals that not only can affect the greenery in your yard and pollute the environment; but can be harmful and toxic to breath in the air.
The Dynatrap system is made to last in all weather and is recommended for best catch results to be left on (except when servicing) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be used indoors or outdoors. Depending on the region, the cost is approximately $1.50 to run per month full time.
So not only eliminate annoying insects but protect yourself from dangerous disease while still being environmentally conscious. The Dynatrap has grabbed the attention of many and received a hygiene award in Germany. The IENA Bronze Medal in the international contest for invention was awarded to Dynatrap for its three step system. The Dynatrap is a cost effective option that is available through catalogs, hardware retailers, and lawn and garden centers across the country, or by visiting www.dynatrap.com, or calling (866) DYNASEAL or (866) 396-2732.
